Audiences reject Vadde Naveen’s return to the big screen

Vadde Naveen was one of the stars of the 1990s in Telugu film industry. Though he scored a few hits like “Pelli”, he never really entered the top league and remained among the third-rung stars of that era.

After a gap of nearly two decades, he made his comeback with “Transfer Trimurthulu”, which released last week. Ahead of the release, he gave numerous interviews and was seen everywhere promoting the film. In those interactions, he spoke confidently about understanding current trends and keeping himself updated with the changing tastes of audiences.

However, audiences totally rejected the film. Almost all theaters wore a deserted look, and the openings were close to zero in many centers. The film has turned out to be a complete disaster at the box office.

The reviews were equally harsh. Those who watched the film felt it looked like something taken out of deep freeze from the 1990s, thawed and released in theaters today. The storytelling and presentation were seen as outdated.

While Samantha made a smashing comeback with “Maa Inti Bangaaram”, Vadde Naveen’s return to the big screen has ended in disappointment.
