The bugle for the third season of Madhya Pradesh Cricket League (MPL) has been sounded. Today (Tuesday, March 31) the auction process for players of 10 men’s teams was completed at the Brilliant Convention Center in Indore. Tremendous enthusiasm was seen during the auction. Ashutosh Sharma became the most expensive player in the auction. Malwa Stallions bought him for Rs 15 lakh.
There was competition among team owners to include Grade A players of MPL like Venkesh, Rajat Patidar, Aniket Verma, Ashutosh Sharma in their team. All the teams were competing to get IPL Delhi Daredevil’s star player Ashutosh Sharma, who participated in the MPL auction for the first time. This time a total of 244 players were included in the MPL auction.

Malwa Stallions made Ashutosh Sharma the most expensive player of this season by bidding Rs 15 lakh. At second place is Akshat Raghuvanshi, who was bought by Riva Jaguar for Rs 13 lakh 80 thousand. Whereas Aniket Verma for Rs 13 lakh 20 thousand, Shivang Kumar for Rs 13 lakh, Mangesh Yadav for Rs 12 lakh, Madhav Tiwari for Rs 10 lakh 60 thousand, Saransh Jain for Rs 9 lakh 60 thousand were taken by Royal Nimar Eagle. 10 men teams will play this year
This year 3 new teams have been formed in Madhya Pradesh Cricket League. These teams are Malwa, Nimar and Ujjain. MPCA President Mahaaryaman Scindia started the auction. During this, while addressing all the franchise owners and all the people, he said that MPL has become a great medium to identify, platform and promote the cricketing talent of Madhya Pradesh.
He said that many players from MPL are getting selected in IPL, WPL and Indian team after performing brilliantly. He said that the auction is being held for the first time this year, all the franchise owners are also working very hard in setting up their teams, many players are finding franchise teams through the player development program and giving them a great exposure. Famous sports anchor Charu Sharma, associated with Indian cricket and other sports, took charge of the auction today.
