The cult series, Asur, created by Gaurav Shukla and Vibhav Shikdar, is returning to the small screen in 2027. Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti play forensic experts who are on the search for a killer. As the JioHotstar series has begun filming this month, a report reveals that Half CA and Mismatched actress Ahsaas Channa has joined the cast of the fan-favourite psychological thriller. Filming for Asur Season 3 will reportedly go on until December 2026. Fans can expect the new season of Asur to arrive on JioHotstar next year.
Ahsaas Channa comes on board Asur Season 3
It’s official; actress is joining the newest mystery for Asur Season 3. In a statement Ahsaas shared that she was thrilled to join Asur after being one of the biggest fans of the show. She added, “It feels surreal to have this opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented actors, including Arshad Warsi sir, Barun Sobti and Ridhi Dogra. Amongst everything else, I promise that Asur 3 will take the thrill and intensity several notches.”

Last month, it was revealed that Criminal Justice actress Shweta Basu Prasad had also joined the cast in an undisclosed role. The new season will be filmed across several cities this year before wrapping up at the end of the year.
All you need to know about Asur Season 3
Besides , returning cast members include Ridhi Dogra, Anupriya Goenka and Vishesh Bansal. Gaurav Shukla, who is also a producer, will be making his directorial debut with the third season of Asur. Shwetabh Varma will also co-direct the season alongside Shukla. Operation Safed Sagar filmmaker Oni Sen had directed the first two seasons. Shukla had also penned the screenplay of Asur Seasons 1 and 2.

The dark and gritty crime thriller features Barun as forensic expert Nikhil Nair and Munnabhai MBBS star Arshad as CBI officer Dhananjay Rajpoot, who will set off to investigate a new set of murders.
Ahsaas Channa’s upcoming projects
The former child star has a number of projects lined up for the upcoming year. First up, she will be reprising her role as Vinny in the Netflix rom-com series Mismatched along with Rohit Saraf, Prajakta Koli and Taaruk Raina. She will also star in Vir Das’s next horror film, Baara Number, with Sheeba Chaddha, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Suhail Nayaar, Atul Kulkarni and Arunoday Singh part of the ensemble cast.
