The news of Byron’s resignation was preceded by the company sending him on leave. Meanwhile, the company has started an investigation into the alleged affair between the ex-CEO and the HR chief, Kristin Cabot.

Byron and Cabot were caught on Chris Martin’s kiss cam during the Boston concert. The former CEO was seen holding Cabot intimately. However, when they realised they were on camera, the duo acted suspiciously. While Cabot turned her face away from the camera, Byron immediately ducked. Commenting on the duo’s response to the kiss cam, Martin stated that they were either “too shy” or were in an “affair”.
The video of the kiss cam moment went viral like wildfire. Netizens were eager to find out the identities of the two individuals, and what followed was trolls, memes, and severe backlash. Soon after the video fiasco, Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, dropped her surname and later deactivated her account on Facebook.
