Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, has triggered a wave of outrage and ridicule after delivering an alarming speech in Tampa, Florida, that included threats of nuclear war against India. Speaking on US soil, Munir stated that Pakistan would not hesitate to “take half the world down” if faced with an existential threat in a future conflict with India.
“We are a nuclear nation. If we think we are going down, we’ll take half the world down with us,” Munir reportedly declared. He further stated, “We will wait for India to build a dam, and when it does so, phir das missile sey faarigh kar dengey (we will destroy it with 10 missiles)… The Indus River is not the Indians’ family property. Humein missilon ki kami nahin hai, al-hamdulillah (we have no shortage of missiles, Praise be to God).”

Social Media Turns His Words Into Meme Fest
The controversial remarks quickly went viral on social media, prompting an avalanche of mocking responses. One user quipped, “He is not a field marshal… He is a failed marshal.” Another accused Munir of exploiting American hospitality to issue nuclear threats against India, noting, “The man who claims to be a peace broker is giving a platform to a terror-sponsoring, rogue state, one that reaches for nuclear threats at the drop of a hat.”
India must change its “no first use” nuclear policy.

Asim Munir — using U.S. soil to issue nuclear threats against India and to target an Indian corporate with interests in the oil business.
And @DonaldTrump is fine with it.

Some users mocked Pakistan’s economic and political instability, with one calling it a “friendly third world country,” while another sarcastically wrote, “Can we bomb Pakistan at the start of every month? Just to let them know that their baap is always alert.” The online ridicule intensified after comparisons emerged describing India as “a Mercedes” and Pakistan as “a dump truck.”
India Responds With Strong Condemnation
Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a strongly worded statement on Monday condemning Munir’s rhetoric. Labeling his remarks as “nuclear sabre-rattling,” the MEA said the comments “reinforce well-held doubts about the integrity of nuclear command and control” in a state “where the military is hand-in-glove with terrorist groups.”
