India sit 12th on the Asian Games 2026 medal table with 21 medals, including 2 gold, 9 silver, and 11 bronze, on Day 7 in Aichi-Nagoya.
The tally received a fresh push on Friday, with Suruchi Singh and Kamaljeet adding a gold in 10m air pistol team event, Gulveer Singh continuing his great form from the Commonwealth Games and winning a silver in the men’s 10,000m run, Manpreet Kaur adding a bronze in the women’s shot put, and Manush Shah and Diya Chitale securing another bronze in the mixed doubles table tennis, taking India’s bronze count into double digits.
At the top, China continue to tower over the field with 96 gold, 36 silver and 24 bronze (156 total). Japan, riding home advantage, sit second with 26 gold, 41 silver and 44 bronze (111 total), whereas South Korea complete the top three with 13 gold, 16 silver and 33 bronze (62 total).
