Asia Cup will change Team India’s jersey in 2025, will this special thing not be seen? – News Himachali News Himachali

Team India has been announced for the Asia Cup 2025 and now the wait is to start the tournament. The tournament, which is going to be held in T20 format from 9 September in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will be inaugurated, in which 8 teams are participating.

Eyes will once again be on the Indian team, who is the title of the title as usual. Team India had won the Asia Cup title last time, but there will be some big differences in that team and this time the team playing. This difference will not only be the absence or presence of many players, but also a big difference between jersey. Last time, one such thing was written in the Indian jersey, which can be absent this time. This thing is the title sponsor ‘Dream 11’.

The Indian cricket team will land against UAE on September 10 at the Dubai International Stadium. During this time, India’s name, BCCI logo and Asia Cup 2025 logo will be engaged in the blue T20 jersey of all the players including captain Suryakumar Yadav, but it is likely that the logo of Dream 11 will not be part of it. This logo is written on the chest in front of the Indian jersey as the Indian Cricket Board had signed the title sponsorship with this company.

Online gaming bill effect on dream 11

In fact, the Central Government had introduced a bill in Parliament to ban the games that earn money by paying money online. The ‘The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill 2025’ was passed by the Central Government in both the houses of Parliament within two days and will now take the form of the law in a few days with the President’s seal. The biggest impact of this will be on the online fantasy games running in India, of which the largest share is Dream 11. From cricket to football and kabaddi, in many sports, this company runs a fantasy game, in which users take part by putting money and then the winner gets money instead. But as soon as this bill is enacted, these games will be banned.

Due to the increasing scope of fantasy games in India, many companies including Dream 11 entered it. Dream 11, while capitalizing on its success, achieved the title sponsorship with BCCI for Rs 358 crore, under which the Indian team’s name is seen in the biggest letters everywhere from the jersey to the training kit. The deal took place in 2023 and has to run till 2026. But after this new bill, Dream 11 will have to stop its fantasy gaming business, which is the biggest source of its earnings.

Team India will be without sponsor?

Now if this happens, then it is feared that Dream 11 may draw its hand before the last year of this sponsorship deal. If this happens and before the Asia Cup, the company makes an agreement to abolish its deal with the Indian Board and at the same time BCCI does not deal with any new company during this period, then no company’s logo will be seen on the Indian jersey during the Asia Cup. If this happens, BCCI may also lose a few crores. Under the current deal, BCCI is given Rs 6 crore from Dream 11 in exchange for a bilateral (and Asia Cup) International match, while the ICC is 2 crores for tournaments, because the sponsor is not directly on the chest and not on the arm.
