Asia Cup 2025: Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag And Sunil Gavaskar Part Of Star-Studded Commentary Panel

The third edition of the T20 Asia Cup will kick off on Tuesday (September 9), with Afghanistan taking on Hong Kong. India will kick off their campaign against UAE on the second day of the tournament.

All matches will kick off at 8:00 PM IST. Before the start of the all-important tournament, the official broadcasters have announced a star-studded commentary panel. Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag and Sunil Gavaskar are among the biggest names in the panel.

Shastri is among the biggest commentators and he has done job for more than 2 decades. He stayed away from the commentary box during his time as Team India’s head coach.

Sehwag has been working as a commentator since his retirement. He has carved out a niche for himself and is one of the most popular commentators. Gavaskar is a veteran commentator and has travelled across the globe as a cricket expert. Former India assistant coach, Abhishek Nayar, will also share his insights. He was part of India’s management when they won the 2025 Champions Trophy. Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram and Bazid Khan are three Pakistani commentators in the commentary panel.

India’s Asia Cup schedule

Suryakumar Yadav-led India will kick off their campaign against UAE on Wednesday (September 10). They will face arch-rivals, Pakistan, on September 14. They will end their league stage campaign against Oman on September 19. They could face Pakistan as many as three times. The final of the ACC event is scheduled to be played on September 28.
