Pahalgam Terror Attack: The ICC has fined Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav 30% of the match fee to make a statement on the Pahalgam terror attack after winning the match with Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025.
India vs Pakistan, Asia Cup 2025: The Asia Cup 2025 match took place between India and Pakistan on 14 September. In this, India defeated Pakistan by a big margin. After the match, Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav gave a statement about the Pahalgam terror attack. Due to this, on Friday, the ICC imposed a fine of 30% match fees on him.
BCCI appeals against fine
Suryakumar dedicated India’s seven -wicket victory over Pakistan to the victims and Indian forces of the Pahalgam attack on April 22. According to India Today report, the BCCI has filed an appeal against the fine imposed on Suryakumar.
Please tell that Suryakumar Yadav had filed a petition in this case in front of the ICC that he is innocent. Match referee Richie Richardson dismissed Suryakumar’s petition during the hearing on 25 September. The hearing was called after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after filing a complaint with the ICC. PCB demanded action for political remarks against the Indian captain.

30 percent fine of match fees imposed on Haris Rauf
Significantly, the ICC has also fined Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf 30 percent of the match fee. Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan was officially reprimanded for provocative gestures. On September 21, a complaint was filed by the BCCI for his conduct during India’s Super 4 win over Pakistan.
