BJP leader Ashwini Choubey has opened a front against his own government. They will go on hunger strike on 11 October to protest against crime and corruption. He has also announced to retire from electoral politics.
Patna: The political stir has intensified before the Bihar assembly elections 2025. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey has opened a front against his own party and government. Expressing his displeasure over cases of crime and corruption, he has announced a day’s hunger strike on 11 October. According to the hunger strike, JP housing will be according to him.
Strict warning on crime and corruption
Ashwini Choubey said that he is taking these steps against crime and dictatorship so that politics improves and maintains Suchita. He said, “It is very important to make suchita in politics. If a leader is accused of crime or corruption, he should resign by taking responsibility like Advani ji.”
Choubey in his statement warned Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary without naming anyone and said that some people come from the back door in the party. Some improve, but some do not take the name of improvement. “If my son or any relative is also accused, I would advise Advani ji. He too had to withdraw from his post, until the allegations were completely dismissed.”
Prashant Kishore and Suchita in politics
The former Union Minister also launched a scathing attack on the allegations made by Prashant Kishore. He said that no one can be made a big leader by just accusing anyone. If the allegations are correct, then why will this matter be limited to newspapers only. It should be sent to the Governor, President and Prime Minister and if needed, the court should be knocked.
Retire from electoral politics
Ashwini Choubey also announced his political renunciation on the occasion. He said, “Now I will not contest any Lok Sabha or Assembly elections. I will stay away from electoral politics, but will be active as a party worker.” However, he assured about the possibilities of NDA in Bihar. Choubey said, “The NDA will again form the government with an absolute majority, but there will be no compromise on corruption and crime.”
After this statement by Ashwini Choubey, the political movement of the party and the state has increased. Before the election, a rebellious attitude of a senior leader can create panic within the BJP, and this step will give rise to new discussions in politics in the coming days.
