This year the MSP of wheat has been increased to ₹2,585 per quintal.

- Additional payment: ₹20 per quintal (sorting, cleaning, unloading)
Net profit: ₹180 per quintal
If a farmer sells 100 quintals of wheat, he will get an additional profit of about ₹ 18,000.
Why was MSP increased?
The government has a simple argument – farmers should get the right price as per their costs.
