As long as I am a minister…, Chirag said on seat sharing in NDA; LJP meeting in Patna – News Himachali News Himachali

Amidst the turmoil regarding elections in Bihar, everything is not clear yet regarding seat sharing in NDA. LJP (R) supremo and Union Minister Chirag Paswan are continuously saying that right now talks are going on on seat sharing.

Meanwhile, an emergency meeting of LJP (R) is going on in Patna. State President Raju Tiwari and many MPs and party officials attended the meeting chaired by the party’s state election in-charge Arun Bharti.

The seats to be contested are being discussed in the meeting. Bihar State President of LJP (Ram Vilas) Raju Tiwari is present in this meeting. Apart from this, many senior LJP leaders including MP Shambhavi Chaudhary and Hullas Pandey are present. MP Arun Bharti is presiding over the meeting.

Meanwhile, LJP (RA) national president Chirag Paswan is in Delhi. He is likely to meet senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nityanand Rai in the evening. While talking to journalists in the morning, Chirag Paswan was seen avoiding saying anything on seat sharing in NDA. He said that I have many other responsibilities. I am a Union Minister. I am going to discharge that responsibility. Chirag Paswan said, ‘Talks are going on. In such a situation, I have more responsibilities. As long as I am a minister, the ministry is also responsible, so I am going to look into it for now.

News agency Bhasha has told in one of its reports that Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) had earlier expressed satisfaction on giving about 20-22 seats, but now they are demanding 25 more seats. Senior leaders of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) believe that the party should get at least 45 seats. A party leader gave this information on the condition of not making his name public.

Let us tell you that in the 2020 assembly elections, Paswan had separated from the NDA and contested the elections. In that election, Paswan’s party won only one seat, but it caused losses to JD(U) on many seats. Because of this, JD (U) had won the lowest number of 43 seats in the last two decades.

Jitan Ram Manjhi asked for 15 seats

Meanwhile, NDA party Hindustan Awam Morcha (Hum) chief and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi clarified that he is “not making a claim, but requesting” that his party be given a respectable number of seats in the upcoming assembly elections. Manjhi told reporters in Patna on Wednesday, “If we are not given at least 15 seats, it will be humiliating for me and my party. If we get 15 seats, we can easily win at least 15 seats.” 8-9 We can win seats and we will become a recognized party. Even after 10 years of establishment, ‘Hum’ has not been able to become a recognized party. So, I am making a request to NDA leaders, not a claim.”

Manjhi has indicated that he wanted his party, which has four MLAs, to contest half of Bihar’s 243 assembly seats, but was willing to compromise on 15 seats to avoid a fight against NDA allies.
