Aryabhatt Ka Zero’s Himansh Kohli On Struggling Days In Mumbai: Dad Refused To Provide Financial Help – EXCLUSIVE

Himansh Kohli is all set to feature in an upcoming film, Aryabhatt Ka Zero, which is releasing on August 7, 2026 in theatres. In the film, the actor is playing the role of Baggu. Recently, in an exclusive interview with Zoom/Telly Talk India, Himansh Kohli opened up about his struggling days in Mumbai and revealed that his father refused to provide any financial help to him when he decided to shift to Mumbai to make his career in acting. Himansh further mentioned that his dad would often taunt him for not being serious about his career.

Himansh Kohli On Father’s Reaction To His Acting Choice

 

During a candid chat with us, we asked  whether his father evr called him ‘zero’. The actor said, “My father pushed me really hard in the initial days. He would give me a lot of taunts every single day. He was like – ‘Dekho maine kaisa zero paida kiya hai’. His words used to pinch me a lot. I eventually understood my responsibilities and my father saw it in me.”

Himansh Kohli mentioned that his father initially refused to give him money when he told him about his decision to move to Mumbai for acting career. The actor said, “When I told him, ‘I want to pursue my career in acting, for which I will shift to Mumbai,’ he didn’t oppose and supported me to do it. However, he also clarified that he would not sponsor his first trip. At that time, my reputation was like he will go, part and come back. He told me to manage all the work alone. When I was leaving Delhi, Dad gave me some money to rent a place and arrange food for myself.”

Himansh also mentioned that his father is now very happy with his progress. He said, “Now, he is very happy with the fact that I am doing good in my career. I am from Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar. My family is a typical Delhi family. Our mornings never start without taunts.”
