New Chandigarh, August 2: Aruthran Prabhu, a prominent figure in the karting world, showcased his exceptional skills this weekend. The FIA-Asia Pacific Motorsports Championship gold medalist from topped the official practice, heat, super heat, and final race in his class, concluding his campaign on a high note.
Chennai’s Rehan Khan Rashid also delivered an impressive performance. Dominating the junior class, he secured victories in both the super heat and final race. Throughout rounds 3 and 4, he was the fastest competitor on the track.
Rehan faced a challenge during the final race, trailing behind his teammate Aditya Pratap. However, he made a remarkable comeback, taking the lead in the final moments to clinch a stunning victory.
In the mini class, UK’s Rudra Gokulnath excelled, achieving a fantastic win in the final race. He left behind super heat winner and round 3 hero Shiv Neel, demonstrating remarkable speed. Rudra not only avenged his earlier defeat in the super heat but also showcased his exceptional talent.
Chennai’s Karav Roberson shone in the senior class, winning both the super heat and final race, overcoming his tough competitor Armaan Dhawan from Delhi.
In the super heat, Aruthran Prabhu displayed his ability to withstand pressure, winning a nail-biting race. Shiv Neel made a commendable rise in the combined grid, finishing second overall and first in the mini class. In the final, Rudra Gokulnath played a brilliant waiting game, overtaking leader Aruthran Prabhu in the last lap of the 12-lap race for a memorable victory. Aruthran fought hard to maintain his position but ultimately allowed Rudra to slip past in the final lap. Nevertheless, Aruthran remained at the forefront of the ‘Under-10’ class, which coincided with the mini category that Rudra won.
Interestingly, round 3 winner Shiv Neel had a disappointing performance, finishing fourth in the mini class and sixth overall in the combined grid. The five-round India series will conclude on August 31 at the Meco Kartopia Circuit in Bengaluru.
