Arunachal Pradesh Viral Video: A roadside meal in Arunachal Pradesh has become a viral lesson on cleanliness, sparking a significant online debate about civic sense. The incident, caught on camera in Roing, shows how one man’s firm stand made a group of tourists clean up the mess they had left behind. In the now-viral clip, shared by Instagram user Jimu Mele, a group of men from Assam can be seen enjoying food by the roadside. What’s left after their meal, however, is not just crumbs, but a heap of garbage scattered around. That’s when a local man steps in, asking them, “Have you made this mess here?” Without raising his voice, he firmly tells them not to litter and reminds them to keep the place clean.
The video then jumps to the moment the tourists start picking up the trash. One of them even asks, “Ab theek hai?” and the man responds with a smile, “Haan badhiya, badhiya. Yeh jagah aap logon ke liye bhi hai na.” His words hit home, showing that cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility.
In the caption, Mele, who is also a municipal official, expressed his disappointment, saying littering is a common problem, especially by visitors from neighbouring Assam. He wrote, “We welcome all guests with open hearts to enjoy our mountains, rivers, and clean spaces, but littering—No No.” He also announced a new campaign, “Being an official of Municipal, we will soon be launching the ‘Roing is not your Dustbin’ Campaign. Inviting All Youths to come under one platform and shout it loud.”
