Arsenal Set to Launch Major Talks for Julian Alvarez as Atletico Madrid Ready to Sell

The 2022 World Cup winner, who recently faced hostile treatment from Atletico fans during his first appearance at the Metropolitano since publicly declaring his wish to leave, is now firmly in Arsenal’s sights. Atletico had previously rejected a staggering £128 million bid for Alvarez from Real Madrid in June, underscoring the player’s value and the club’s initial reluctance to part ways. However, the latest developments suggest that same figure could now be acceptable to the Spanish giants, opening the door for Arsenal to secure what would be their record signing. This potential deal would surpass the £100 million expenditure on Declan Rice earlier this year, marking a significant investment by the Gunners.
