Arijit Singh turns director, to direct pan-India jungle adventure film

Singer Arijit Singh is set to make his directorial debut with a jungle adventure film. The film would appeal to a Pan-India audience. Singh venturing into filmmaking would mark a new chapter in his career.

The move is set to create a buzz amongst his fans.

A source said, “Arijit Singh is all set to direct a unique jungle adventure film. Mahaveer Jain is the producer, and he’s excited about this ambitious project. He’s going all out to ensure that the film appeals to the Pan-Indian audience.”

The film’s casting and pre-production work are currently underway. Singh penned the film himself, alongside Koyel Singh. It is produced by Mahaveer Jain Films and Alokdyuti Films. God Bless Entertainment is co-producing the film.

Singh’s transition to a film director is notable considering he is one of the most celebrated singers in the country. He has won two National Film Awards and was conferred the Padma Shri by the Indian government in 2015.

The 38-year-old has also been declared the most streamed Indian artiste for five consecutive years from 2020 to 2024. This year (2025), he was declared the most-followed artist globally by Spotify with over 150 million followers.
