plastic bottle
If you are using plastic bottles in any form, then it is better to stop using them. A research has come to light regarding single use plastic bottles used daily. It has been told that the nanoplastic particles coming out of these bottles are damaging the stomach cells present inside the body. It has been published in RSC Publishing Research.
Research has said that many people drink things like water, juice and soft drinks in plastic bottles every day. Drinking any drink in these bottles is causing harm to the body. Due to prolonged exposure to nanoplastics, the cells of the stomach and the outer wall of the intestines are becoming weak, these particles are also attacking the red blood cells of the body. Prolonged exposure is also causing swelling in the body.
How are plastic bottles becoming a health hazard?
Research has shown that plastic bottles retain heat and sunlight as well. Due to this, minor wear and tear starts in them. Very small particles of plastic break down and are so fine that they are not visible to the eyes. These small particles are called nanoplastic. These dissolve in very little water and when we drink water from plastic bottles, they enter our stomach and cause damage to our intestines. Due to this, the good bacteria of the stomach also get spoiled. Due to which problems like indigestion, gas formation and stomach pain occur.
Research has shown that this nanoplastic starts dissolving in the blood after entering the body through breath. Due to this, it harms not only the stomach but also many other organs. Due to this, kidney and liver are also getting damaged. If these bottles are used for a long time then it can also become a threat to these organs.
How was the research done?
In this research, nanoplastic particles were taken in plastic bottles. That means, these particles were present in the bottles which are used for household purposes, water, packaged drinks and other things. This research warns that plastic pollution is now harming human health as well. Especially in urban areas, where bottle-packed water is used more.
what to do for protection
Drink water in steel bottles instead of plastic ones
Avoid using plastic in any form.
