AYushman Card: There is a big good news for the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Scheme. The Central Government has now made the process of making Ayushman Card completely digital and very easy. Now you neither need to stand in long queues outside any government office nor take the help of any agent to avail free treatment.

The National Health Authority (NHA) has clarified that now citizens can generate the card themselves through their smartphones.

The National Health Authority (NHA) has informed the citizens through its official social media handle that ‘Ayushman App’ has now become a one-stop solution. Through this app, you can not only check whether your name is in the scheme or not, but you can also complete your e-KYC and download the digital card in a few minutes.

How to check your eligibility?

If you want to know whether you will get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh or not, follow these steps:

  1. First of all install Ayushman App from Play Store or App Store.
  2. Open the app and click on ‘Login’. Here select ‘Beneficiary’ option and login using your mobile number and OTP.
  3. Now select your scheme (PMJAY), your state and district in the form visible on the screen.
  4. You can search your eligibility through your Aadhar number, Ration card (Family ID) or name.
  5. If your name is in the list, the list of all the family members will open. If the name is not there, the message ‘No Beneficiary Found’ will appear.

How to complete e-KYC sitting at home?

If your card has not been generated despite being eligible, you will have to do e-KYC:

  • Click on ‘Do e-KYC’ written against the name in the beneficiary list.
  • Select the option of ‘Aadhaar OTP’ for verification. An OTP will come on the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar, enter it.
  • Your information will be visible on the e-KYC page. Here you will have to click and upload a recent photo (selfie), which will be matched with your Aadhaar data.
  • After filling all the information, submit the form. Your Ayushman card will be ready as soon as the verification is successful.

Download old card like this

‘Download Card’ button will be visible next to the name of those whose KYC has already been completed. By clicking on this, you can save your Ayushman card in PDF format, which can be shown for treatment in any empaneled hospital.
