Music composer AR Rahman’s son AR Ameen was involved in a car accident in Chennai during the early hours of Monday. Ameen was reportedly driving a Porsche when it collided with a car near the Olympia Tech Park signal in Guindy. The accident took place around 3.30 am while Ameen was travelling towards Guindy with a friend. Both Ameen and his friend sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. They were later discharged. The incident led to the Adyar Traffic Investigation Wing police seizing both vehicles and registering a case.

According to reports, the accident occurred when the Wagon-R entered the main road from a side road and collided with the Porsche driven by . The singer and his friend sustained minor injuries in the impact and were taken to Kauvery Hospital. After receiving treatment, both were discharged and returned home. The passenger travelling in the Wagon-R was also injured in the accident and was admitted to Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital. The passengers of the vehicle were reportedly discharged after receiving medical attention.

About AR Ameen and his Musical Career
AR Ameen is A.R. Rahman’s only son and middle child. AR Rahman and his former wife, Saira Banu, have three children: elder daughter Khatija, son A.R. Ameen, and younger daughter Raheema. He made his playback singing debut with O Kadhal Kanmani, for which his father composed the music.
He has since lent his voice to songs in several Indian languages and has also performed at concerts with his father across the world. AR Ameen released his first independent single, Sago, while he was studying in Class 11. More recently, he worked on the Tamil version of Chikiri Chikiri from Ram Charan’s Peddi.
