Apple to open fifth India outlet in Noida on December 11, new Mumbai store in 2026

New Delhi: Apple is speeding up its retailing drive in India with its fifth store having been opened in Noida, which is due to be opened on December 11. It will be the third new outlet that the company will have this year, and it will reflect its increasing interest in one of the fastest-growing smartphone markets in the world. According to Apple executives, the expansion is a sign of good customer demand and the larger aim of the company to increase its penetration within India.

The iPhone manufacturer also intends to establish a second store in Mumbai next year as it keeps building its physical distribution network. The relocation is amid increasing sales, record local production and increasing market share of Apple in the high-end smartphone segment. Apple is hoping its aggressive retail growth will continue to energise the company as it now places India as one of its most important markets in the world.

Apple expands retail footprint across India

The senior vice president of retail and people at Apple, Deirdre O’Brien, told Moneycontrol that the opening of Apple Noida is another milestone in the company-customer relations between the company and the people of India. Having also opened new stores in Noida, Hebbal and Koregaon Park this year, Apple is expanding access to Apple-style in-store experiences. The company considers that its combination of physical stores and internet services, as well as the Apple Store application, will provide customers with more options and convenience than ever before.

O’Brien emphasised that the iPhone 17 models and the iPhone 17 Air are all the first to be produced in India. Another coincidence of the Noida launch is the high demand for the new iPhone series. In India Apple has just launched AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss on the new iPhones, which has increased its range of services to Indian users.

Strong sales, growing ecosystem power Apple’s India momentum

The opening into India of Apple has been as a result of phenomenal financial results. FY 25 increased the revenue of the company 18.26 per cent to Rs 79,378 crore and net profit 16.4 per cent. Analysts project the same two-digit growth in the coming years as iPhone demand grows and MacBooks, iPads and AirPods expand their ecosystem rapidly.

The company is also gaining ground in smaller cities. have a volume share of 9 per cent and a value share of 28 per cent in the Indian smartphone market. By the third quarter of 2025, Apple was in the top five smartphone brands in India in terms of volume. According to analysts, the second growth wave will be the more intensive penetration in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets, which will be made possible by an extended network of premium resellers and official Apple stores.

Retail talent strengthens Apple’s local partner base

According to O’Brien, the development of local talent is one of the core points of Apple retail strategy. The company will employ widely and expand its presence in India. Although Apple has an established network of luxury resellers and multi-branding partners, it holds the view that its own store can provide new standards of service quality and the way the customers can be involved.

Industry analysts indicate that the demand for iPhones during the festive seasons was high, and Apple is most likely to expand its reseller channel to include smaller retailers with limited product avenues. The rapid growth of retail presence in India means that Apple has made a long-term high-priority investment in the country, with India turning into its third-largest iPhone market with increasing value share in the premium market.
