According to MacRumors, Apple has added a new option for Liquid Glass in iOS 26.1 beta. Now, users can decide to either continue with the clear effect first seen in iOS 26 or opt for a new tinted theme. The tinted Liquid Glass theme reduces the transparency of the UI, particularly when it comes to controls, allowing for better visibility. It also adds more contrast to the layout.

How to change Liquid Glass to tinted in iOS 26?
Users who want to try out the new tinted theme will first need to run the latest iOS 26.1 beta on their iPhone. Then, they can simply open the Settings app and choose the Display and Brightness section.
There will be a Liquid Glass section in the menu, which will open the option page for clear or tinted themes. The page will also give a preview of the selected theme, allowing users to understand the difference.

There is no date for the full release of iOS 26.1 yet. Apple is expected to refine and add some more new features before a wider rollout.
