New Delhi: Apple will release the next generation of AirTags as soon as this fall. The AirTags 2 is also expected to arrive within the range of July to September, potentially during the Apple September iPhone event. This is in line with earlier rumours it would be announced during the WWDC in June, which never happened. The fans and potential purchasers of Apple devices are encouraged to wait since the new AirTags are said to have improved tracking.
Recent rumours indicate that AirTags 2 will have a very similar design to the first generation released in 2021. There is not expected to be any significant design change, and the battery format probably will be the CR2032. The technology within the gadget, however, is to be upgraded. Enhanced aspects and security systems are creating attraction among customers and researchers.
Enhanced tracking with UWB 2 chip
The second-generation UWB chip is likely to be found in the new AirTags. This would enhance the tracking range to a great extent. Users can anticipate three times more distance with the Precision Finding with the advanced chip. This technology makes the tracking abilities equal to the ones in the newest iPhones.
Improved anti-stalking features and integration
Apple is keen on safety upgrades. The AirTags 2 will also have a non-removable speaker that will be difficult to remove and use to stalk. Other than this, the speaker will also be made louder to improve its alert system. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also suggested that the AirTags could be integrated with the Vision Pro headset, extending spatial computing in new directions. It is expected to have a pricing of the same nature unless some radical feature changes appear.
