Apollo Tyres has been named the new jersey sponsor of the Indian cricket team, securing the rights in a record-breaking deal until 2027, as per a report in TOI. The agreement comes after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ended its contract with Dream11, following a ban on betting-related apps and websites.
Apollo Tyres will surpass Dream11’s earlier contribution of Rs 4 crore with a whopping Rs 4.5 crore per match payout to the BCCI.
The deal with the world’s richest cricket board will provide the Indian tyre manufacturer with significant global visibility. The partnership also marks one of the most lucrative sponsorship agreements in Indian cricket history.
