A big statement of State Women Commission Vice President Aparna Yadav has come out on the KGMU Love Jihad case. He gave a strict warning on the issue related to the female resident doctor in KGMU, Lucknow. Action and investigation is going on against the accused doctor in the case.

King George Medical University (KGMU), a prestigious medical institute located in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is once again in the news for serious allegations. This case has not only shocked the medical world, but has also created sharp reactions in political and social circles. Vice Chairman of the State Women’s Commission, Aparna Yadav, has termed this entire episode as “extremely shocking” and has given a strict warning to the people associated with Love Jihad.

Responding to the Love Jihad case that came to light in KGMU campus, Aparna Yadav said in strong words that despite continuous action in the state, people with such mentality are not improving. He said that this is the land of India, where history is witness that when Sita was kidnapped, the whole of Lanka was burnt to ashes and when Draupadi was dismembered, the entire dynasty was destroyed.

Aparna Yadav warned in clear words that in the name of Love Jihad, the lives of Hindu daughters are being ruined and in many cases they are being brought to the point of death. He said that this trend will not be tolerated now.

‘Now is the time to end this mentality’

The Vice Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission said that this matter of KGMU has crossed all limits. He bluntly said that now the time has come when the mentality of love jihad should be ended. Aparna Yadav warned that those who are involved in such acts should reform, otherwise they will be selectively given strict punishment under the law.

He also clarified that in this case, all the stringent sections that can be imposed under BNS will be imposed on the accused and the Commission is continuously monitoring this case.

What is KGMU love jihad case

In fact, a female resident doctor of KGMU has made serious allegations against the senior doctor posted here, Rameez Malik. The female doctor had attempted suicide, after which, while being admitted to the hospital, she alleged that the accused doctor lured her into a love trap and sexually assaulted her. The victim says that when it came to marriage, the accused put pressure on her to convert.

According to the victim, when she protested, the accused threatened to make her private videos viral and later also posted the videos on social media. This entire matter has been complained to the Women’s Commission and the police.

Strong protest in KGMU, inquiry committee formed

After this incident came to light, huge protests were seen in the KGMU campus. Students and other organizations demanded immediate dismissal of the accused doctor and strict action against him. The protesters raised slogans and submitted a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor of KGMU.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the university administration has constituted Vishakha Committee for investigation. According to the management, further action will be taken on the basis of the committee’s report. At present, this matter has become a topic of discussion across the state and all eyes are on the results of the investigation.
