Ranveer Singh’sDhurandhar 2 has created mayhem at the box office, ever since it was released in theatres on March 19. Everything about the movie – from songs, dialogues, action sequences – are being appreciated by fans and industry celebs.
The movie backed by Aditya Dhar and Jyoti Deshpande under the banners of B62 Studios and Jio Studios, is going stronger at the box office with each passing day, thanks to the positive word of mouth. Joining the movie’s fan club is veteran actor Anupam Kher. The actor called the movie outstanding and shared a long note where in he described how he felt after watching Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Anupam Kher reacts to people calling Dhurandhar 2 propaganda film

on Instagram, he shared a long video in which he spoke about the effect Dhurandhar 2 has had on him. He also reacted to the claims of Dhurandhar 2 being called a propaganda film. He said, ‘I feel so sad and pity for those who call the film propaganda movie. Initially I got angry because they tried to call Kashmir Files, Dhurandhar 1 and 2 propaganda movies. But they should be ashamed of themselves to call it propaganda film. If you can’t tolerate such a movie, you also make one such film. It’s a film that shows modern India, apart from the drama of the movie.”
Anupam Kher praises Dhurandhar 2
In a long note alongside the post, Kher called Dhurandhar 2 an outstanding film and termed Aditya Dhar a Rock Star. In his note, Kher shared that Dhurandhar 2 leaves a strong impact. The Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge actor shared that the film stays with you even after it ends, creating a feeling that’s hard to fully put into words. It isn’t just something you watch, it’s something you experience and absorb. The story unfolds in a way that quietly connects with the audience and lingers long after the screen fades to black. Some moments in the film feel deeply personal and memorable, leaving a lasting impression rather than just passing by. It’s the kind of storytelling that doesn’t need explanation, it simply needs to be felt.
He went on to add that the film’s entire team deserves appreciation for creating something so “powerful, moving, and human.” The film carries both emotional depth and cinematic strength. He also gave a shoutout to Sanjay Dutt who plays SP Chaudhary Aslam in the movie and wrote, “Sanjay Dutt delivers a remarkable performance, adding even more weight to the narrative.”
Anupam Kher ended his note by saying , “This is a film that resonates with a sense of pride and connection. It’s worth watching, experiencing, and reflecting on. Jai Hind.”
Ranveer Singh, Rakesh Bedi react
Soon after the post was shared on social media, Ranveer Singh, who plays the lead in the film, reacted to Kher’s appreciation for the movie. He wrote, “Shabd toh Mere kam pad gaye yeh dekh kar, Sir. Aap ki kalakari se prerit ho kar bade hue hain, Sir. Aapka aise kehna mere liye bahut bahut badi baat hai. Aap ko koti koti pranaam, Sir.”
Rakesh Bedi who plays Jameel Jamali in the movie stated, “Wah wah wah. What an honest and loooooong reaction.”
About Dhurandhar The Revenge
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action thriller picks up right after the events of the first film. It dives deeper into Ranveer’s journey, while also exploring his true identity as Jaskirat Singh Rangi.
The cast includes Arjun Rampal as ISI Major Iqbal, R. Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, Sanjay Dutt as SP Choudhary, along with Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in key roles. The film opened to Rs 100 crore on day one, went on to collect Rs 278 crore in India, and crossed Rs 300 crore worldwide within just three days of release.
