Filmibeat: Congratulations, Ankit! Your show Shehzaadi Hai Tu Dil Ki has premiered. What was the first thing that drew you towards this project?
Ankit Raizada: Honestly, the moment I heard the story, I felt something connect. It’s emotional, it’s intense, and it has that honesty which immediately pulls you in. Even though it’s a remake of Karthik Deepam, the way our team has adapted it felt fresh and meaningful. I just knew I wanted to be a part of this world.
Filmibeat: You’re playing the male lead in this new show. How would you describe your role, and what sets him apart from the characters you’ve played before?
Ankit Raizada: This character is very real… he’s strong but not afraid to feel. He tries to balance his responsibilities with his emotions, and that makes him relatable. Compared to my earlier roles, this one has more shades-there’s vulnerability, anger, love, confusion… everything. As an actor, that’s exciting because it pushes me to go deeper.
Filmibeat:The title Shehzadi Hai Tu Dil Ki suggests royalty and romance. What kind of emotional and dramatic layers can the audience expect from your character’s journey?
Ankit Raizada: You’ll see a lot of love, but you’ll also see the pain that comes with love. My character goes through moments where he has to choose between what he wants and what is right. There are misunderstandings, heartbreaks, and also beautiful bonding moments. His journey feels very close to real life – nothing is perfect, but everything is heartfelt.
Filmibeat: The show is airing at 7:30 PM, a competitive time slot on television. Does that add any pressure, and how confident are you about grabbing viewers’ attention at that hour?
Ankit Raizada: Of course it does! (laughs) But good pressure. We all know people are busy at that hour, families come together, and everyone wants something engaging. We’ve put our heart into the show, and I’m confident that once people watch a few episodes, they’ll get hooked. The story has that kind of pull.
Filmibeat: Every actor carries a bit of their character home. Is there any personal similarity between you and the character you portray?
Ankit Raizada: Yes, a few. Like him, I’m someone who doesn’t give up easily on relationships. I’m protective of my people, sometimes even a little overthinking when it comes to emotions. Playing this character has made me look at myself in a new way – he’s taught me patience and how to handle things with more maturity.
Filmibeat: The promos have already created a buzz. What kind of reactions have you received from fans, friends, and industry colleagues so far?
Ankit Siwach: The reactions have honestly surprised me-in the best way. Fans have been sending such warm messages, and many said they’re excited to see me in this different avatar. Friends and industry colleagues have also been very sweet; they keep saying, “This role suits you so well.” That support means a lot before a big launch day.
Filmibeat: You’ve worked in several shows over the years. Where do you see this project in your career graph, and what are your expectations from it?
Ankit Raizada: For me, this show is a special step in my journey. It’s a role that challenges me, and I really wanted that at this point in my career. My only expectation is that people connect with the character and the emotions we’re trying to bring on screen. If the audience feels something while watching, then I’ll feel I’ve done my job.
