has added another project to her slate, this time with Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu director Anil Ravipudi, who confirmed the collaboration during a recent promotional event.
The announcement was not entirely unexpected, and ended assumptions around the casting for his next film. The project will bring together the actor and filmmaker for the first time. The development also comes as Shetty gears up for the release of Love Insurance Kompany.
Ravipudi confirms Krithi Shetty’s casting
At the promotional event of Love Insurance Kompany, where he attended as the chief guest, Anil Ravipudi addressed the reports linking Krithi Shetty to his next film. Rather than making a formal announcement, the filmmaker chose a more casual way of confirming her involvement.
He said, “There have already been reports in the media that you are going to work with me, so there is no need to make it official once again. See you soon on the sets.” The statement effectively sealed the collaboration, even as it avoided the usual build up of a formal reveal.
Director praises Krithi Shetty’s Telugu
Ravipudi also spoke about Krithi Shetty’s command over Telugu, something he appeared particularly impressed by. Praising her language skills, he encouraged her to take it a step further in future projects. “You speak Telugu very well. Learn a little more and dub for yourself in your next Telugu film,” he adviced. The comment not only acknowledged her progress but also hinted at the kind of involvement he expects from his actors, especially in terms of performance authenticity.
On the work front, Krithi Shetty is currently preparing for the release of Love Insurance Kompany, directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film is described as a science fiction romantic comedy and features a wide ensemble cast including S.J. Suryah, Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri G Kishan, Shah Ra, Malavika, Mysskin, Anandaraj and Sunil Reddy.
Backed by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio, the film is scheduled to release on April 10. Meanwhile, Ravipudi, known for directing films such as Supreme, Pataas, Sarileru Neekevvaru, Bhagavanth Kesari, Sankranthiki Vasthunam and Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, is also working on another project featuring Venkatesh Daggubati and Fahadh Faasil, which is expected to release during the Sankranthi weekend in 2027.
