Actor Anil Kapoor paid an emotional tribute to his late friend and filmmaker Satish Kaushik on Friendship Day, remembering the bond they shared over decades in the film industry.
Sharing a clip from one of their films on Instagram, Anil reflected on the special place Satish Kaushik held in his life, describing him as the friend he would turn to during moments of joy, frustration or simply to laugh and chat.
In his heartfelt note, Anil wrote that everyone has one friend they can call to gossip, joke or share life’s ups and downs, adding that Satish Kaushik was that person for him.
The actor said he deeply misses Satish’s humour, warmth and exceptional talent. He also recalled that their friendship began at the start of his acting career and continued until Kaushik’s passing, making it one of the most cherished relationships of his life.
Anil noted that while he had friends from his school and college days, Satish Kaushik remained by his side throughout his journey in the film industry. He said the two grew together, shared countless memories and built a friendship that stood the test of time.
Concluding his message, Anil wished his late friend a Happy Friendship Day, saying he was thinking of him with love.
Satish Kaushik, actor, director and filmmaker, passed away on March 9, 2023, following a heart attack in Gurugram. He was 66.
