The only reason being given is that his father had scolded him for drinking alcohol. This incident is not just a family tragedy, but also a story of the dangerous effects of anger and addiction.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Paras Kerketta. He lived alone, while his son Prabhat Kerketta alias Leda lived in a rented house nearby. On Monday night, Prabhat reached his father’s house in an intoxicated state. Seeing him in that condition, Paras scolded him. The matter escalated and a heated argument started between the two. It is alleged that in anger, Prabhat picked up an ax kept in the house and attacked his father. Paras died on the spot due to serious head injury.
