New Delhi: Nottingham Forest have turned to Ange Postecoglou following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo. Nuno stepped away from the position of head coach late on Monday night, and now the Tricky Trees are making advance efforts to land a replacement at the earliest.
Postecoglu was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the last season after they finished 17th in the points table. However, the 60-year-old helped them lift a historic Europa League victory, ending the Spurs’ long-running trophy drought.
Nottingham Forest are currently 10th in the league standings after their three fixtures. Nuno’s last match in charge was against West Ham, in which they lost 3-0 before the September international break. Nuno was in charge for just 21 months. He took Forest’s charge in December 2023 after Steve Cooper was removed and helped them preserve their top-flight status.

Postecoglu is expected to take charge before the Tricky Trees’ trip to Arsenal on Saturday. He will become the eighth permanent manager since Evangelos Marinakis took charge back in May 2017.
