Actress Aneet Padda marked her 24th birthday with an emotional reflection on love, loss, memories and gratitude, admitting that birthdays often leave her in tears as she remembers people who are no longer part of her life.
The actress, who shot to fame with ‘Saiyaara’, shared a series of pictures from her intimate birthday celebrations on Instagram. The photographs featured her co-star Ahan Panday and Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, along with other friends and loved ones.
In a heartfelt note, Aneet described how the moments leading up to midnight bring back memories, regrets, unspoken words, missed calls and people she wishes she could spend more time with.
She particularly remembered her late grandfather, whom she fondly called Dadu, and her pet Julie. Recalling the little things she now misses, she wrote about how strange it feels to celebrate birthdays without her grandfather and even miss Julie’s snoring at night.
The actress also expressed gratitude for the people who make her life special, including her parents, sister, childhood best friend and new friends. She said their love and birthday wishes reminded her of how fortunate she was to be surrounded by people who care for her.
Reflecting on turning 24, Aneet said that while she often spends too much time missing the past, she sometimes forgets to appreciate the love, happiness, hope and possibilities still present in her life.
Explaining her delayed birthday post, she said it was not simply about the day she was born, but about emotions and experiences catching up with her after being busy living life.
Revealing her wish for the year, Aneet said she hoped everyone around her would be happy. She thanked her extended family and followers for the affection they had shown her, saying she wished she could find more ways to express how much they meant to her.
