Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy becomes most-watch Test series on digital platform with whopping 170m users

Delhi: The recently concluded Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy was one of the most entertaining Test series in recent times. The five-Test series was almost like a boxing match with both teams trading punch after punch, and neither able to knock out the opponent, as the contest ended in a stalemate.

The breathtaking affair turned out to be a great advert for Test cricket, with all five matches going to the fifth day. The last Test, in particular, went down to the wire as India clinched a historic six-run win at the Oval to level the series 2-2.

Naturally, the series garnered huge popularity across the globe as over 170 million logged in to JioHotstar, making the Anderson Tendulkar Trophy the highest-ever reach for a Test series on digital. The fifth day of the fifth Test achieved a remarkable peak concurrency of 13 million on JioHotstar – the highest-ever for a Test match on any digital platform.
