In the video, heaps of garbage are seen along the roads of the islands. Mehta has written that he had come to Andaman after a gap of 4 years and seeing the view here broke his heart.

In the post shared by Mehta, it is clearly visible that many places along the roads are filled with dirt and garbage. He says that it is unbelievable that the condition of a place which was once an example for its cleanliness has become so bad today. After the video went viral, many people have commented on it. Most of the people on social media believe that the carelessness of officials along with increasing tourism and tourists without thinking is the main reason for this destruction.

Earlier in January 2026, a content creator named Vishnu had also shared a similar video. In that video, he had told how plastic waste from South-East Asian countries like Thailand and Malaysia is flowing and accumulating on the shores of Andaman.
