A cup of coffee is heavy on the pocket
The boy told that he started talking to a girl on Bumble. Both of them became good friends and then they decided to meet. The girl called him to a place called ‘Couple Cafe Zone’ near Ranikuthi area of Kolkata. The boy reached the cafe ready for his first date. The beginning was quite good. Both of them ordered two cups of coffee and a hookah. They started talking to each other, sharing their likes and dislikes. The boy did not find anything strange. Everything seemed normal. But when the bill came, he was shocked. The bill was for full Rs 8,500!

‘She smiled and walked out’
The boy was surprised. He felt that either the bill had come by mistake or things had been added to it that he had not ordered. He was sure that they did not order such expensive things. But what happened next made the matter worse. The cafe staff surrounded the boy and started pressurizing and threatening him to pay the entire bill. When the boy looked at the girl for help, she was not there. The boy wrote, “She smiled at me while leaving and opened the door and went out.” After this he had to face the waiters alone. The boy shared his story along with the girl’s Bumble profile photo and a copy of the bill.
‘This is not love, this is organized deception’
The boy told that he had no other option but to pay the bill. He alone had to pay the entire amount. He shared this bad experience of his life on social media so that no one else falls into such a trap. His post went viral in no time. Some people left angry comments, while others advised that one should be careful while meeting unknown people on such dating apps.
One user jokingly wrote, ‘Bhai drank a coffee and also took a subscription of Rs 8,500, which was more expensive than Bumble Premium.’ Another user wrote, ‘Before reading this tweet, I was very excited about my Bumble dates in Kolkata… but now I am losing faith in human relationships. I’ve deleted all my dating apps and am now seriously thinking about living alone with a cat. Another user advised, ‘This is not love, this is organized fraud masquerading as love.
