Anant chaturdashi 2025: According to Anant Chaturdashi Hindu calendar, the Chaturdashi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month is celebrated. This day is especially dedicated to Lord Vishnu and on this day there is a tradition of tying infinite sutras. It is believed that by observing this fast, the sufferings of life are removed and the blessings of Lord Vishnu are received.

It is mentioned in the Puranas that when the Pandavas were passing through troubles during exile, including Draupadi, Shri Krishna advised him to observe Anant Chaturdashi fast. Due to the effect of this fast, happiness and prosperity returned in the lives of the Pandavas. Since then this tradition has been going on.

Worship method

Take a bath in the morning on the day of fasting.

Install the statue of Lord Vishnu in a clean place.

Establish the urn and keep water, amrapatra, coconut in it.

Offer Tulsidal, yellow flowers and incense-lamps to Lord Vishnu.

Make an infinite formula with fourteen lumps and offer it to Lord Vishnu, then tie it on the right arm and women on the left arm.
