British actress Amy Jackson, who is regarded as a key figure in the Tamil cinema business, expressed her sorrow over the tragedy within minutes of the news of it emerging.
“Devastated to hear about the tragic Air India crash today,” she said on X, sharing her views on the awful incident. The passengers, crew, and all impacted families are in my thoughts and prayers. May the next days provide clarity and strength to the rescue crews.
Resul Pookutty, a sound engineer who won an Oscar, wrote: “I am very saddened and disturbed by the news of the Air India crash in Ahmedabad. I hope and pray that everyone on board lives and is in good hands. #Prayers.
Bellamkonda Sreenivas, a Telugu star, too wrote a touching post on X to convey the heartache the incident had caused.
He wrote: “For many people, today’s airplane disaster in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a profoundly personal grief in addition to being a national catastrophe. moms. Kids. youthful aspirations. Families are now left unfinished. I’m praying for peace for the people who didn’t make it home and for light in this engulfing darkness.
Renowned Tamil cinematographer S R Kathir shared his sorrow by stating, “My deepest sympathies to the families who lost dear ones in the sad Ahmedabad aircraft tragedy. #planecrash #AirIndia.”
“The news of the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad was absolutely devastating,” said Tamil actress Aathmika. Prayers and thoughts from everyone on board!

The unit of the pan-Indian film “Kannappa,” meantime, expressed sorrow and sorrow over the deaths in the Air India jet tragedy by announcing that it was postponing the trailer’s release by one day and calling off the pre-release event that was set for Friday in Indore.

For those who don’t know, an Air India aircraft (AI171) headed for London with more than 242 people crashed on Thursday soon after departure from Ahmedabad airport. Gatwick Airport in the United Kingdom was the destination of the flight.
