Indian Railways is set to introduce a new weekly Amrit Bharat Express service connecting Dhanbad in Jharkhand with Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu from August 25. The train will run every Saturday from Dhanbad and every Tuesday from Coimbatore, providing a direct rail link between eastern and southern India.
The service will pass through several states, including Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, before reaching its destination.
The new train is expected to benefit students, daily-wage workers, small traders, families and senior citizens who rely on the Railways for long-distance travel. It will also offer improved passenger facilities, upgraded coaches, better seating and enhanced safety features.

The Coimbatore-Dhanbad Amrit Bharat Express will provide a direct weekly connection between the two cities while serving several important towns and railway junctions along the route.
The train will halt at major stations such as Tiruppur, Salem, Renigunta, Vijayawada, Warangal, Nagpur, Jabalpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Gaya, Parasnath and Dhanbad.
With the introduction of this service, passengers travelling between South and North India will have another convenient option for long-distance journeys.
