Secret Spice Mix

  • Large cardamom – 4
  • Black pepper – 2 tsp
  • Clove – 1 tsp
  • Small cardamom – 20
  • Cinnamon – 4 inches
  • Cumin – 2 tsp
  • Fennel – 4 tsp
  • Poppy seeds – 2 tsp
  • Mace – 3
  • Bay leaves – 10
  • Saffron – a little
  • Lightly fry all these spices and grind them.

Ingredients of Amlaprash

  • Amla – 1500 grams
  • Basil – 20 grams
  • Rose petals – 20 grams
  • Dry ginger (ginger powder) – 40 grams
  • Desi ghee – 50 grams
  • Jaggery – 750 grams
  • Shilajit – 10 grams
  • Honey – 50 grams
  • Silver works – 10
  • Saffron – ¼ gram
  • Ready Secret Spice Mix

Method of making Amlaprash

First of all, boil gooseberries, take out their seeds and make a paste. Heat ghee in a pan and cook the amla paste on low flame. Now add jaggery to it and mix well. When the mixture thickens, add secret spice mix, dry ginger, basil and rose petals. Turn off the gas and after it cools down a bit, add honey, shilajit, saffron and silver powder. Keep it in a glass jar.
