Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has reflected on his deep connection with music, describing it as an integral part of life and saying that without it, existence becomes “dull, uninteresting, and tasteless.”
The veteran actor shared his thoughts on his blog, where he wrote about the emotional bond between music and the soul. He suggested that once music becomes deeply connected with the soul, even the passage of time takes on a different quality.
“Jab sangeet ki dor aatma se jud jaati hai, toh samay naadaan ho jaata hai… Aise hi hua, aur abhi tak us dor ko pakde hue hain,” Bachchan wrote.
He went on to describe life without music as lacking its richness and expressed admiration for those who have embraced music deeply in their lives.
“Sangeet bina jeevan neeras, aruchikar, bina swaad ke… Aur jo karna chahiye tha, uska samay nikal gaya hai. Irsha hoti hai un logon se, jinhone sangeet ke ras ko ghol-ghol kar piya hai, piroya hai apne jeevan mein…” he added.
Bachchan further wrote that, at this stage, he can only aspire to be worthy of expressing his admiration for those who have truly absorbed the essence of music.
“Maane ya na maane, jeevan ka pratyek kshan sangeet ras se bhara hua hota hai… Woh pyaala yadi mil jaaye, toh use kabhi na chhodun!!” he wrote.
Signing off, the actor wrote, “Pranaam! Nidra! Aur sangeet bhari raatri ka aagaman,” marking the arrival of a music-filled night.
On the professional front, Bachchan is currently hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati, the official Hindi adaptation of the British television quiz show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
