Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has revealed an interesting reason why he often watches Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, whenever the Indian cricketer is playing, recalling her habit of keeping her fingers crossed during his matches.
The revelation came during a cricket-related question on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, when contestant Sonali spoke about her admiration for Rohit Sharma and jokingly said she considered herself his wife.
Bachchan responded in a light-hearted manner, saying Sonali appeared to be very fond of the cricketer and that he would tell Rohit that she had come to become his wife.
The veteran actor then spoke about his own admiration for Rohit, saying the cricketer was among his favourites and that he had spoken to him personally several times.
Bachchan recalled watching Rohit whenever he played and said that when he was at the stadium, he would also look towards Ritika because she would keep her fingers crossed while Rohit was on the field.
He said he was curious about the gesture and asked Ritika about it. According to Bachchan, she told him that she had followed the same habit even before her marriage to Rohit whenever he took the field.
Bachchan described the gesture as something that had continued over the years and shared the anecdote while discussing his admiration for the Indian cricketer.
