Union Home Minister Amit Shah said at the closing ceremony of Bastar Olympics in Jagdalpur that the country will be Naxalism free by March 31, 2026. He assured that in the next five years, Bastar will be made the most developed tribal division and electricity and water will reach every house.

Jagdalpur. Union Home Minister Amit Shah today attended the closing ceremony of the divisional level Bastar Olympics held in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, he reiterated the government’s strong commitment to the overall development of Bastar and against Naxalism.

Naxalism prevented the development of Bastar for years

Amit Shah said that Naxalites created obstacles in the development of Bastar for a long time. Roads, electricity, water and other basic infrastructure works were stopped, leaving the region behind in the race for development. He said that due to Naxal violence the common people had to face difficulties for a long time.

Now the circumstances have changed, Bastar is moving ahead on the path of development.

The Home Minister said that now the situation is changing rapidly. The government is carrying forward the development works in Bastar with full force and strict action is being taken against Naxalism. He assured that now no one can stop Bastar from development.

The country will be Naxalism free by 31 March 2026

Amit Shah clearly said that the country will be completely free from Naxalism by 31 March 2026. He said that this goal will definitely be achieved with the success of the security forces and the strategy of the government.

Target to make Bastar the most developed tribal division

The Home Minister said that in the coming five years, Bastar will be made the most developed tribal division of the country. He said that electricity will be provided to every house in Bastar, every family will get tap water and better life facilities will be provided to the people.

Along with development, preservation of tribal culture is also a priority.

Amit Shah said that along with development, the government will also preserve the rich and beautiful tribal culture of Bastar. He stressed that the identity, traditions and cultural heritage of Bastar will be further strengthened with development, so as to ensure overall development of the region.
