Union Home Minister Amit Shah has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, saying he is prepared to participate in a discussion in Parliament on the student protests linked to the NEET examination and answer questions from the Opposition.
“I would also like to mention that, at the opposition’s request, the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, has already been discussed in the current session of Parliament, and no Honorable Opposition MP expressed any views on the NEET exam in the House. Despite this, the government is ready to discuss this issue again,” Shah said in the letter.
