According to Home Minister Amit Shah, the Muslim population in India has increased due to infiltration, not birth rate, due to which the Hindu population has declined by 4.5%. He has outlined a plan to identify the infiltrators and remove them from the voter list and send them back.
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the Muslim population in the country has increased and the Hindu population has decreased. Shah made it clear that the reason for the increase in Muslim population in the country is not the increase in birth rate, but infiltration. He said that the Hindu population has decreased by 4.5 percent. Amit Shah said this while speaking on the topic ‘Infiltration, Demographic Change and Democracy’ organized by Dainik Jagran in Delhi. Shah’s comments were in the context of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Muslim population increasing due to infiltration
He said that the decline in Hindu population in these countries was not due to religious conversion, but many of them had taken refuge in India. Shah said the 24.6 percent population growth among Muslims was not due to increase in birth rate but due to large-scale infiltration of Muslims into the country.
What is Amit Shah’s plan to throw out infiltrators?
Infiltration into India is taking place from Pakistan and Bangladesh. Amit Shah said that every possible effort will be made to identify the infiltrators and remove their names from the voter list and those who entered illegally will be sent back to their countries. Shah further said that inclusion of infiltrators in the voter list corrupts the soul of the Constitution and only the citizens of the country should get the right to vote.
