Recalling her experiences with him both in the US and India, Milben shared how Prime Minister Modi made her life and her love for India even more special.
What did the American singer say about PM Modi?
Speaking to IANS, Milben said that his most memorable meeting was when PM Modi came to America. He said, ‘I was invited to the Yoga Day at the United Nations along with PM Modi and Richard Gere. I got a lot of honor there that day, because I got a chance to sit very close to the then UN Chief. He further said that PM Modi’s polite and conversational nature with the youth impressed him a lot. PM Modi’s participation during Yoga Day was most amazing for him.
Special connection with India
Mary Milben revealed that she feels a special attachment to India and Indian people. He said, ‘I like India and Indian people very much. My identity with India has been strengthened through music and culture. While sharing her childhood memories, she said that Smita Patil, a woman of Indian origin, took care of her in her house and introduced her to Indian culture, music and food. She said, ‘I am grateful to Smita that she connected us with Indian culture.’
Praising PM Modi’s leadership on Operation Sindoor
Talking about the ongoing conflicts in the world and Operation Sindoor, Milben praised PM Modi’s leadership abilities and empathy. He said, ‘The increase in war in the world is worrying. I hope that the role of more leaders like PM Modi increases, who contribute to reducing conflict and establishing peace. Milben particularly praised PM Modi’s courageous and patriotic leadership abilities and described his efforts as praiseworthy globally.
