New Delhi: Amazon has announced that the company’s annual Prime Day sale will be back in India in July 2026, in its tenth year. Amazon said the sale will offer a combination of discounts, new product launches and special deals for Prime members across various categories.
This move follows Amazon’s continued foray into sale-based shopping festivals in India, with Prime Day emerging as a pivotal platform for both shoppers and sellers. Although the exact dates are yet to be announced, the company has already begun to tease what Prime Day 2026 has in store for customers.
Sale timeline and global rollout
Amazon has announced that this year’s Prime Day will be held in July in India, but the exact dates are still to be revealed. By contrast, the sale will be held in June in multiple markets around the world, such as the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France and the United Arab Emirates. India, Japan, Brazil and Australia will have the sale in July.
Deals and categories to watch
The retailer indicated that Prime members will find discounts on smartphones, laptops, home appliances, fashion, beauty, groceries and more. Amazon added the event will also have new product releases and flash sales.
As with past events, customers will likely be able to stack discounts with bank and cashback offers for further savings.
Prime membership benefits
Amazon noted Prime members will still get benefits including same-day and next-day delivery of a large range of products. In some cities, it also provides four-hour delivery and quick commerce.
Prime members who use the Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card can receive up to 5% cashback on their purchases during the sale.
Delivery performance and savings
Amazon claimed that over 55 crore products were shipped the same or next day to Prime members in 2025, a 40 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth in India. It also said that its members saved more than double their annual subscription fee in deals and benefits.
Membership plans in India
In India, Amazon now has several Prime plans. The regular subscription is annual at Rs 1,499 and offers shopping and entertainment features. Prime Lite costs Rs 799 and offers limited streaming rights, and the Prime Shopping Edition Rs 399 with delivery benefits.
