The annual industry survey (ASI) of the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation of the Government of India (ASI) 2023-24 reports that UP has set a new national record on all three fronts.

UP leads GVA growth

According to ASI 2023-24, the gross value of Uttar Pradesh increased from ₹ 1.34 lakh crore in the year 2022-23 to ₹ 1.67 lakh crore in 2023-24.

  • This is a historical growth of 25.03%.
  • The all -India average growth rate was just 11.9%. That is, UP has beat the entire country at a higher speed in this matter.

Number of factories unprecedented bounce

according to the report:

  • The number of factories increased from 19,102 of 2022-23 to 22,141 in 2023-24.
  • This is an increase of 15.91%, while the national average is only 2.7%. This growth shows that UP is becoming the most favorite destination of industry.

Millions of youth got employment

Due to industrial expansion, there was a big jump in employment.

  • The number of working personnel increased from 14.86 lakh to 16.26 lakhs.
  • That is, an increase of 9.37%, while at the national level this increase was just 5.9%.

Experts believe that this achievement is the result of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s industrial policies, investment incentive schemes and better law and order. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and the Yogi government’s double engine policy have made UP a pioneer in the field of industry and investment.
