A fake YouTube channel has been created in the name of a government department of Madhya Pradesh. This channel is spreading misinformation by misusing the official video. The department has issued an alert and lodged a complaint with the cyber cell.
Bhopal. Till now, fraud was done by creating fake sites in the name of a private company or a private institution. But now miscreants have created a fake YouTube channel in the name of ‘MP Bhawan and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board’, a government department in Madhya Pradesh. Through which people are being trapped by seeing it as a hoax. Now the department issued an alert saying that a fake YouTube channel has been created on social media in the name of the department. This channel is misusing the identity of the department and uploading many official videos released by MPBOCW on its channel by copy-pasting without permission. There is a possibility of spreading wrong and misleading information due to this.
Minister Prahlad Singh Patel lodged a complaint
Considering the matter as serious, Labor Minister Prahlad Singh Patel has given instructions to lodge complaints on both Cyber Cell and YouTube. The department has started the complaint process. The Board has clarified that only the authorized YouTube channel @MPBOCW is the official channel of the Department.

The department said that workers are being misled through fake channels and official videos are being uploaded without permission, which is completely illegal.

Mandal has said that important information about labor welfare schemes, registration process, education assistance, health and maternity benefits, accident and death assistance, pension and other important information is being shared regularly on the official social media channels.
The Board has appealed to all construction workers, contractors and stakeholders to follow only official social media sources and beware of any fake or misleading information.
