Pickle Money Ball has announced a prize pool of more than $1 million for the 2027 National Championship, marking the largest payout in amateur pickleball history.
The tournament will take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas from July 26-31, 2027. Billed as the Super Bowl week of amateur pickleball, the event will bring together players of different skill levels, fans, creators and brands for the tour’s biggest championship yet.
How players can qualify
Players can earn qualification points through Pickle Money Ball Regionals and Super Series events, or by nominating other tournaments, leagues and open-play sessions.
The top 40 players on the tour’s points leaderboard will receive free entry to the National Championship. The competition is open to players of all ages and skill levels, with cash payouts available across every division, from 3.5 and under to 5.0+.
From January 1, 2027, players must be Pickle Money Ball members to compete in the tour’s events. With more than 20 events scheduled across the United States in 2027, membership will provide access to a full season of competition and opportunities to earn cash, prizes and points.
Prize money and format
Pickle Money Ball has paid out approximately $1 million in prize money across its events to date, with around 700 players having earned prize money. The average earnings per player stand at $1,408, while more than 25 players have earned at least $5,000.
The National Championship will follow the tour’s standard format, featuring pool play followed by a single-elimination bracket. All teams will advance to bracket play, ensuring every team gets an opportunity to compete beyond the opening stage.
