According to the Panchang, the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Phalgun month is starting from 12:33 pm on 27th February. This date will end on February 27 at 10:32 pm. Keeping in mind the Udaya date, this year Amalaki Ekadashi will be celebrated on 27 February 2026. Lord Vishnu will be fasted and worshiped on this day.
Can one get relief from Pitra Dosh?
According to religious beliefs, if there is Pitra Dosh in a person’s horoscope, he has to face many obstacles in life. It is said in the scriptures that by observing Ekadashi fast, chanting the name of Lord Vishnu and worshiping the Amla tree, the souls of the ancestors get peace.

Take bath in the morning and worship Lord Vishnu. Light a lamp under the Amla tree and offer water. Chant the mantra Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya. Keep fast throughout the day and eat fruits. Donate to Brahmins or the needy.
Importance of Amalaki Ekadashi
Amalaki Ekadashi is especially associated with the worship of the Amla tree along with Lord Vishnu. It is believed that Lord Vishnu himself resides in the Amla tree. Keeping fast on this day destroys sins. Happiness and prosperity increases. One receives blessings from ancestors and also attains mental peace. It is also said in religious texts that by doing charity on this day, the sins of many births are destroyed.
